Lesson Demo: Visual Storytelling

During the 2023 Summer Institute, Teacher Leader, Katy Mills explored the power of visual storytelling and how it can enrich reading and writing in the classroom. In this presentation, she defines what visual storytelling is, demonstrates practical ways to integrate it into literacy instruction, and invites participants to experiment with telling a story through images—whether as a photo essay or a comic.
